When that industry is Air Traffic Control then “Mission Critical” barely begins to describe the importance of managing the IT environment securely and effectively.
LAIC has worked closely with the Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CR) as a strategic partner for over 21 years.
At the heart of LAIC’s responsibilities are the development, management and support of the ATRAK© suite of ATC solutions. The ATRAK suite is an integral part of the air traffic and planning controller’s role in air traffic management and the primary systems consist of:-
- Flight Billing & Statistics
- Aeronautical Information System Services
- Executive & Planning Control
- Radar Backup System
The ATRAK systems are certified to route air traffic by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic and can, if necessary, be used as the main radar control system in a backup situation.
LAIC have had significant involvement in the migration of systems, both MIS and ATC operations, to the new, state-of-the-art Integrated Air Traffic Control Centre (IATCC) in Jenec, Prague and in the implementation of ATRAK ATC systems across regional airports in the Czech Republic.
LAIC manage all aspects of hardware, operating systems and applications for the Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems and develop and support ANS CR’s core “back-office” systems
The association with LAIC has been formed over many years and the close working relationship ANS CR has had with LAIC has been a vital component in ANS CR meeting its overall objectives and strategies. LAIC have been a major contributor to ANS CR's ability to meet these objectives and look forward to continuing a long and successful relationship with them.
LAIC’s technical expertise was fundamental in implementing these complex “high availability, mission critical” systems, running the latest UNIX logical partitioning servers and workstations.
LAIC technicians have applied their expertise in database management, GUI integration, development tools and UNIX systems support and management to provide a complete turnkey solution to ANS CR.
